ABOUT US
Who We Are
Co-founders of Gilliam Technologies, Leif Gilliam and Ashley Allen, are 2019 graduates of the University of Kentucky. After meeting at a philanthropic event sponsored by Ashley’s sorority, Kappa Kappa Gamma, she and Leif (Sigma Phi Epsilon) realized their mutual love of the outdoors and strong entrepreneurial spirits.
With degrees in science, internships in the medical field, and a looming global pandemic in early 2020, Leif (B.S. in Biology, Minor in History) and Ashley (B.S. in Agriculture and Medical Biotechnology, Minor in Biology) saw the need for efficient, secure, and affordable Internet Technology solutions for businesses.
Ashley, who grew up on her family’s Six Winters Farm, knew first-hand the limitations of internet providers available in rural areas. While their first farm clients needed reliable internet service, requests soon expanded to include security cameras and gate service. Focusing on specific client needs has allowed Leif to forge partnerships with a variety of service and product providers to offer a wide range of available options.
Current clients of Gilliam Technologies include sport horse and Thoroughbred farms, medical clinics, and others who depend on internet for remote work. Partnering with clients to develop custom solutions and achieve goals is their favorite part of the business.
Ashley started riding in third grade and currently competes with her horse, Leo. In his free time, Leif can be found kayaking, fishing, and occasionally feeding Leo a carrot.
